The MBA Project module provides you with an opportunity to apply the skills and knowledge that you have acquired to the resolution of a business problem, or to research an area of interest. Our work-based project is a great opportunity to work on a live management issue and to forge and develop links with employers and industry including that of your own. If you aspire to be an entrepreneur, the MBA Project can be an excellent opportunity to compile a comprehensive business plan.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in related fields or its equivalent

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.50 as accepted by the University Senate OR other related/equivalent qualification (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government; OR
  • Minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50 can be accepted, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR

Bachelor's Degree (Level 6, MQF) in non-related fields

  • With relevant working experience: Minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the University Senate, subject to a rigorous internal assessment; OR
  • Without relevant working experience: Minimum CGPA of 2.00 as accepted by the University Senate, subject to passing pre-requisite courses; OR

Other related/equivalent qualification to a Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.

English Competency Requirements (International Student)

  • Achieve a minimum of Band 4 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B2); OR
  • IELTS: 6.0
  • TOEFL iBT: 60
  • Pearson English Test: 59
  • Cambridge English Qualification Test: 169

If a student does not meet these requirements, the University must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.

Admission criteria through APEL.A (Level 7, MQF)

  •  At least 30 years old in the year of application
  • Holds a minimum of STPM/Diploma/equivalent qualification (or higher qualifications such as Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma)
  • Have relevant working experience
  • Pass the APEL.A (T7) assessment at the Master’s level
