About This Course

Post Graduate Certificate in Teaching Methodology (PGCTM) is a programme to help develop the ability to apply and utilise a range of teaching approaches  that will enhance the effectiveness of teaching and learning, both in the theoretical and practical aspects. This programme equips students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed, regardless of their academic background, by providing a tailored learning experience that adapts to their individual needs and goals. PGCTM programme is classified as MQF (Malaysian Qualification Framework) level 7 whereby its competency is equivalent of Master’s level.

Entry Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent

  • Minimum CGPA of 2.50 in the related field, as accepted by the University Senate; OR
  • Candidates with a CGPA below 2.50 in a related field who have at least five (5) years of relevant work or teaching experience can be considered, subject to approval by the University Senate

English Competency Requirements (International Student)

  • MUET Band 4; OR
  • Equivalent qualification aligned with CEFR Mid B2 level

Admission Criteria through APEL.A

  • At least 30 years old in the year of application
  • Holds a minimum of STPM/Diploma/equivalent qualification (or higher qualifications such as Advanced Diploma, Graduate Certificate, Graduate Diploma)
  • Have relevant work experience
  • Pass the APEL.A (T7) assessment at the Master’s level
