Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

• Possesses SPM with at least three (3) credits in any subject including Mathematics or its equivalent.

Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

• Pass with at least Grade C (GPA 2.00) in any subject or equivalent qualifications with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

• Pass with a minimum grade of Maqbul and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia (SKM)

• Possesses SKM Level 3 and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

A Certificate (Level 3, MQF) in any qualification with minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent OR a pass in any qualification equivalent to the Certificate (Level 3, MQF) with a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

NOTE:

• Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at an SPM level or its equivalent may be admitted if the certificate programme contains subjects in Mathematics that are equivalent to Mathematics at SPM level
• Candidates with a pass in Mathematics at SPM level and without a related certificate need to take a reinforcement Mathematics subject with appropriate topics in the discipline of Computing at the beginning of the study
• Candidates with a credit in a Computing-related subject at SPM level or its equivalent may be given preferential consideration.

English Competency Requirements (International Students)

• Achieve a minimum of Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (Mid B1); OR
• IELTS: 4.5
• TOEFL iBT: 33
• Pearson Test of English: 43
• Cambridge English Qualification Test: 147

If a student does not meet these requirements, the University must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
