Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM)

• Pass with at least Grade C (CGPA 2.00) in two (2) subjects AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

• Pass with a minimum grade of Jayyid in any two (2) subjects and a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent

• Pass with minimum CGPA of 2.00 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Any Diploma (Level 4, MQF)

• Minimum CGPA of 2.75. Candidates whose CGPA is below 2.75 but above 2.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough internal assessment AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Diploma in Computing (Level 4, MQF) or its equivalent

• Minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates whose CGPA is below 2.50 but above 2.00 can be accepted subject to a thorough internal assessment AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Any other Diploma in Science and Technology or Business Studies

• Minimum CGPA of 2.50. Candidates can be accepted subject to a thorough internal assessment AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Diploma Kemahiran Malaysia (DKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)/Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)

• Holds a DKM/DVM/DLKM in Computing fields with a minimum CGPA of 2.50, subject to Senate approval.
  (Note: Candidates with DKM/DKLM or other qualifications without SPM can be accepted if their admission qualification includes Mathematics subject(s) equivalent to SPM-level Mathematics. If the subjects are not equivalent, a reinforcement Mathematics subject equivalent to the SPM level must be taken in the first semester or prior to enrolment with an unconditional offer)

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

• Pass with a minimum of 26 points and above in six (6) subjects including Mathematics.

Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Note: Candidates who have passed Mathematics at the SPM level are required to take and pass a reinforcement Mathematics subject equivalent to the SPM level. This reinforcement Mathematics subject must be taken in the first semester or prior to enrolment with an unconditional offer.

English Competency Requirements (International Student)

• Achieve a minimum of Band 3 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (High B1); OR
• IELTS: 5.5
• TOEFL iBT: 40
• TOEFL Paper based: 550
• Pearson English Test: 36
• Cambridge English Qualification Test: 154

If a student does not meet these requirements, the University must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.

Admission Criteria Through APEL.A

• At least 21 years old in the year of application
• Have relevant work experience
• Pass the APEL.A assessment at the Bachelor’s Degree level (APEL.A T6)
