About This Course

Entry Requirements

Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent

  • Possesses STPM or its equivalent with at least Grade C+ (GPA 2.33) in two (2) subjects AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM)

  • Possesses STAM with a minimum grade Jayyid AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Diploma (Level 4, MQF)/Advanced Diploma (Level 5, MQF)

  • Possesses a Diploma (Level 4, MQF) in Accounting or related field, or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.50 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Matriculation/Foundation or its equivalent

  • Possesses a Matriculation/Foundation qualification or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.50 AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

Diploma Lanjutan Kemahiran Malaysia (DLKM)/Diploma Vokasional Malaysia (DVM)

  • Possesses DLKM/DVM in Accounting or related field with a minimum GPA 2.50 subject to Senate approval, AND a credit in Mathematics at SPM level or its equivalent.

International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma

  • Pass with a minimum of 26 points and above in six (6) subjects including Mathematics.

Other relevant and equivalent qualifications recognised by the Malaysian Government.

Note:

  • Candidates who do not have a credit in Mathematics at the SPM level and/or do not have MUET Band 3.0 (Malaysian) or an equivalent qualification, or who lack a credit in English at the SPM level, are required to take and pass reinforcement courses in Mathematics and/or English equivalent to the SPM level. These reinforcement courses must be taken in the first semester or before enrolment with a conditional offer.
  • Students from Matriculation/Foundation or equivalent programmes, or those with higher qualifications, may be exempt from taking the reinforcement Mathematics and English courses, provided that the Mathematics and English courses offered at their programme level meet or exceed the requirements specified for this level.

English Competency Requirements (International Student)

  • Achieve a minimum of Band 3.5 in MUET OR equivalent to CEFR (High B1); OR
  • IELTS: 5.5
  • TOEFL iBT: 40
  • Pearson English Test: 47
  • Cambridge English Qualification Test: 154

If a student does not meet these requirements, the University must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.

Admission Criteria Through APEL.A

  • At least 21 years old in the year of application
  • Have relevant work experience
  • Pass the APEL.A assessment at the Bachelor’s Degree level (APEL.A T6)
